Four decades of NCHA

In 2013 Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) celebrated forty years of providing homes and support to people across the East Midlands.

Role: Freelance Producer. I was employed on a freelance basis to produce a film to celebrate the work of the organisation, looking back at it’s origins but very much focussing on the diverse range work that NCHA staff carry out across the organisation; from securing land and building houses to providing affordable homes and care services for young people and the elderly.

This extensive piece of work required me to spend time with teams across the organisation to fully understand all the different aspects of NCHA’s work so each element could be represented in the film. After this pre-production research I brought together an external team of scriptwriter, filmmaker, animator, voiceover artist and sound recordist to deliver the resulting film. I managed the budget, coordinated filming at locations across the East Midlands, ensured all production paperwork was in place and and managed the post-production to ensure final delivery came in on time and to budget.
